Google Maps shows the route from the cabin to Dollywood at 0.8 miles and about 4 minutes. At the bottom of our hill, a stoplight lets you cross Veterans Boulevard directly into Dollywood without joining the usual inbound traffic line.
Yes! We love dogs at Thistle Britches. You can bring up to 2 dogs for a $150 pet fee per stay.
Yes, Thistle Britches has a private outdoor hot tub with stunning Smoky Mountain views. It's heated year-round. Bring your swimsuit! We also recommend beach towels. Regular bath towels are provided, but you'll want extras for the tub.
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available depending on the schedule. Contact us directly to request.

Thistle Britches comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests across 2 king bedrooms, 3 queen sleeper sofas, and 2 full bathrooms. There are 2 living room areas for gathering space.
We provide standard linens, towels, and basic toiletries. We recommend bringing: swimsuits and extra towels for the hot tub, snacks and groceries (we have a fully equipped kitchen), your hiking gear for the Smoky Mountains trails, and layers. Mountain evenings can be cool even in summer.
Most guests stay 3–5 nights. That gives you time for Dollywood (at least a full day, many guests go twice), exploring the Smokies, dining on the Parkway, and relaxing in the hot tub. Fall leaf season and summer fill up fast, so book early.
Thistle Britches is on the highest elevation on the mountain, which means yes, there is a hill. The driveway is manageable in a standard vehicle in good weather. In winter or icy conditions, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended.

Other easy drives include the Pigeon Forge Parkway, The Island, WonderWorks, nearby golf courses, Douglas Lake, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg's arts district, Anakeesta, hiking trails including Laurel Falls and Alum Cave, and whitewater rafting.
